Here at Elgin the vision God has given us is to become a place where anyone can find life, love, joy and peace.  This is more than a statement for us.  Every Sunday morning we remind each other of the importance of this vision by affirming this vision at the beginning of each service.

What this means is that we believe labels are for things and never for people.  Have you been labeled by the world?  Useless?  Divorced?  Single parent?  Disabled?  Alcoholic?  Addict?  Ugly?  Poor? Worthless?  Fearful?  Different?  Leave your label behind and discover the God who loves to make new things from the old things, broken things into whole things.  And He takes us and transforms us into a new creation.

And do not be concerned about any type of dress code.  Come as you are and begin to discover how God's awesome love can come to you in a fellowship that will always have their hearts open to you.
